Join us in celebrating the incredible impact of small charities and the dedicated volunteers who make a difference every day.
Month of Community brings together Volunteers’ Week and Small Charity Week to highlight the power of community and the importance of supporting those who make it all happen.
Small charities and volunteers are the heart and soul of our communities. They provide essential services, support vulnerable populations, and create a sense of belonging. By coming together during the Month of Community, we can amplify their efforts and inspire more people to get involved.
There are various ways to be a part of this exciting month. Together, we can create a stronger, more connected community by celebrating, supporting and uplifting the small charities and volunteers who make our world a better place.
From 2-8 June, we’re celebrating the UK’s volunteers who give their time, energy and skills to support causes close to their hearts and their communities. Volunteers are the backbone of civil society and this week is dedicated to honouring and uplifting their contributions.

Throughout the week, we'll be sharing stories of resilience, innovation and the incredible work being done to support those in need.
This year, we’ve partnered with The Big Give and Global’s Make Some Noise to champion small charities through a seven-day online match funded campaign.
Your donations during The Big Give will be matched, allowing small charities to receive even more support. This initiative helps boost their income, profile and skills, enabling them to continue their vital work.
